Why garden organically?

What we do

How to join

Managing your garden by organic principles means that you are contributing to the maintenance of a sustainable environment, whilst growing your own fruit and vegetables which you know are safe and  free from pesticides

We provide the opportunity for those interested in organic gardening to get together with like-minded people throughout Northern Ireland.  We meet up monthly for garden visits during the summer and discussions, talks and social events all year round.

We welcome new members and if you would like to join please contact the Hon. Secretary (Fiona Simpson) by  email (niogs1 ‘at’ googlemail.com).  Further details here.

Saturday 12th May at 2.30pm

GARDEN VISIT AND ANNUAL PLANT SALE Newtownards

The aim of the Northern Ireland Organic Gardening Society (NIOGS) is to encourage organic gardening in Northern Ireland by sharing  expertise and information locally.

We organise  informal meetings which provide an opportunity for people interested in organic gardening to visit places of interest throughout N. Ireland or simply to meet and discuss issues relating to growing fruit, vegetables or flowers organically.
