Organic Produce Show

In previous years we have held a produce show. This provided an informal way for members to both show what they have grown and see what others have produced. Whilst an award was made for the best collection in each category, the emphasis was on a fun day out for everyone.

Classes (available as Word document)

1. Roots (3 specimens)
Eg. Carrots, parsnips
2. Peas & beans (5 pods)
Eg. Runner, French & broad beans
3. Greens (1 specimen)
Eg. Lettuces, oriental greens, cabbage
4. Onion family (3-5 specimens)
Eg. Onions, leeks, shallots, garlic
5. Fruit (3 specimens or bowl of soft fruit)
Eg. Apples, Pears, Raspberries
6. Unusual/exotic varieties
Eg. Unusual/exotic varieties, greenhouse produce
7. Greenhouse produce

For each class, the appropriate number of specimens should be displayed on a plain white plate. The name of variety should be clearly marked on a white card along with any other information of interest.

Details of future produce shows will be posted on the website or in our newsletter
